Invite & earn
Invite colleagues, earn credits
Research tools spread the way research does: one bench shows the next. When a colleague joins TuringDNA through your invitation, both of you get credits to run Turing with.
-
Send your link
Your link is in Turing, under your account menu → Invite & earn credits. Share it anywhere, or send an invitation by email from the same place.
-
+extra
They join
A colleague who creates an account through your invitation starts with extra credits on top of the free plan.
-
+bonus
They run their first experiment
You get bonus credits when they first run Turing, and more credits if they move to a paid plan.
Who counts as your referral
- A new account created through your link, or with the email address you sent an invitation or a project invitation to.
- An account is referred once, by whoever got there first. If someone has your link and an older invitation from somebody else, the link they actually signed up through counts.
- Existing accounts cannot be referred, and you cannot refer yourself.
When credits arrive
- The new account: its welcome credits are added the moment the account is created.
- You, for their first experiment: when the new account’s first run that costs credits is charged. Signing up alone does not count; running Turing does.
- You, when they upgrade: the first time the new account moves to a paid plan. Paid once per account, however often its plan changes afterwards.
Monthly limit
First-experiment rewards are limited per referrer per calendar month (UTC): currently a month. Activations beyond the limit still count as your referrals; they just do not pay that month. Upgrade rewards are not limited.
How bonus credits are spent
- Bonus credits are used only after your plan’s monthly credits are gone, so they never displace credits you already had.
- They do not expire while your account is open.
- They have no cash value. They cannot be transferred, exchanged, sold or refunded, and they are not a payment towards a plan.
Fair use
Invitations are for real colleagues. Self-referrals, duplicate or fake accounts, bought sign-ups, and unsolicited bulk messages are not allowed. We may withhold or remove credits obtained that way, and close the accounts involved under the Terms. Email invitations are limited to 20 a day per account.
Privacy
- When you arrive through a link, this site remembers the invitation code in your browser for 30 days, so the invitation still counts if you sign up later. The code identifies the invitation, not you.
- The person who invited you sees your first name and whether you have joined, run a first experiment or upgraded. Nothing else: not your email address, your work or your usage.
- Everything else is covered by the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may change the rewards or end the programme. Credits already added to an account stay there, under the rules above.
